The Moto Leather Jacket. Don't have one? Gotta get one! It's daring, edgy and completely versatile meaning that it can be worn from denim jeans to evening gowns. Coming in a variety of styles and shades that are available from countless brands, a lady who is not seeking a look that is quite so dangerous but still wants to rock the "cool" factor, can easily find a lighter, more feminine shade like ivory or blush. So this fall, while shopping for your outerwear, get revved up in the biker-chic jacket trend. A distressed look that is as cool as any rocker and can go full throttle with hardcore hardware bringing on the toughness in your "pedal to the metal" street style.

Inspired by one of the biggest runway trends of NYFW and usually seen on the backs of tennis outfits, designers lets their designs bare shoulders with an athletic cut. Because of designers like Nicole Miller and Alexander Wang and brands such as BCBG, fashion has taken a spin towards sporty! There's no need to go all out glamorous with a racer-back necklined dress. Go with a simple frock or a casual tank. With a clean and streamlined neckline, keep jewelry at a minimum with studs and bangles. Pull hair back or wear it short to show off your shoulders and for a "no fuss, no muss" style. Whether it's a fitted body-con or a flowing maxi, wear it with heels or flats for a feminine take on athletic wear.

Colorful statement earrings were the hottest look and can be easily resembled in jewelry fashion from the red carpet this season. From chandelier to shoulder dusters, these earrings in vibrant colors and bolder shapes are definitely what should be hanging from your earlobes! Surprisingly enough, these fun earrings can be worn outside of a black tie affair into your everyday street style. It's true! By wearing these attention-grabbing, double-taking ear pieces you will bring attention to your face and your overall look. To successfully achieve this, pull your hair back and up off your shoulders and away from your face while keeping your dècolletage bare to bring your sparkling earrings to its fullest glimmering potential. With these kinds of earrings, they will be all you'll need for an accessory piece. Keep your multi-colored earrings as the only show-stopping accessory piece to be worn with your look. Be sure to coordinate any of the colored jewels from your clustered earrings to complement with the jewel-toned clothes you may want to wear with them. You can also use your multi-colored jewels in your earrings to richly fulfill your neutral-based ensemble.

You've seen the fashion trends worn by our beloved celebrities at New York Fashion Week. You've caught a glimpse of a plethora of designer creations showcased in their fashion shows. Now let's take a look, recognize and applaud what the creative hair-stylists and makeup artists have come up with and displayed on the models of the runway. A trend noticed on the catwalks that were so hair-raising, you'll "dye" to try! Orange highlights were brushed into the models hair at Peter Som and bright pink and blue locks had our hair standing on end at Thakoon's fashion show. Lets not forget that Narciso Rodriquez gave his models orange and icy blue hairstyles. Wet hair was another trend seen on the runways. While many of us find it insane and brave to rock the wet hair look in our everyday routine, Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung and Ohne Titel did not abandon the hair gel showing us that they were all about the greased up hairstyle.
Almost all of us refuse to go a single day with our eyebrows going Wolfgang on us. A beauty trend that has definitely raised one of mine, was the strong eyebrows painted on the fashion models at Derek Lam and Altuzarra. Don't be heavy-handed with the eyebrow pencil and going so severe like Bert and Ernie. Remember that the brows frame your face and this fall you should try and go with a bold brow. Channel your old-school, Hollywood, golden-glamour look that the iconic Elizabeth Taylor beautifully graced her face with. The bold eyebrow exudes confidence and is even a top beauty look at weddings à la newlywed, Kim Kardashian.
Now lastly, a trend that if you haven't already, you should totally get your hands on, Ombrè Nails. Months before fashion week, it was a raving fave by the lovely Lauren Conrad. This form of manicure ran rampant on the runways of Pamela Love, Jen Kao and Alice + Olivia. D.I.Y. for a fab fingered look without busting out the credit card and leaving a tip at the salon by picking up one of Sally Hansen's Nail Polish Pens.
Wrapping up the trends seen on celebrities from NYFW, this autumn the traditional school-girl loafer has received a fashionable lift. The heeled loafer goes from preppy to sexy with a touch of librarian chic. From chunky to pointy, from low heels to high; pair it with a below-the-knee pleated skirt and a cardigan and you're on your way. Or you can show a little more sexy/sophisticated by teaming up your heeled loafer with a short suit. I apologize for the short spotlight. Excited about highlighting the trends seen on the Red Carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards! See the Must-See Looks on the Red Carpet on Style~ Spotlighted Red Carpet Recap.

Tired of lace? Bored with ruffles? Scalloped detailed dresses are ultra-femme but seen on the scene in New York during Fashion Week with a little kick! Stay sweet and feminine with lighter hues and solid shades of a scalloped dress. But the darker the tone the edgier the look. Exchange solid ensembles for multicolor-blocked styles. Steer clear from white, beige and black and go for blues, corals and pinks. Tough it up tastefully with the right accessories to create an even tougher look the right way. Jamie is no ordinary girl next door where she meets boy-inspiration with lace-up oxfords. Nude pumps and a black clutch for Emma keeps it classic, letting the dress speak for itself. And Posh Victoria kicks @$$ with platformed black booties!

Like the birds in the sky, hemlines in skirts and dresses are heading south. Celebrities at New York Fashion Week are ahead of the trend in what has been spotlighted by numerous designers on the runway. Just because cooler seasons are coming, doesn't mean that you cannot be ladylike in skirts and dresses with longer lengths. The '60s dress was a hot trend during fashion week and are expected to make a grand debut come spring. Paying homage to the styles of the late '50s and early '60s, fuller skirts with longer hemlines are no longer just for the Susie Homemaker. Fashion has gone through great lengths to expand ladylike looks into other styles from granny to sheaths. Modernize these styles with a boyfriend blazer with a turned up collar. Search for these A-line skirts with fabrics in leather or tulle and keep the trend going into spring with a high-waisted version and a crop top to slightly expose a bare midriff, see WTF? Crop Tops. Accessorize fuller dresses and skirts with cat-eye sunglasses, a string of pearls, kitten heels to elongate the calves, leather clutches and waist-cinching belts. If you want to create an attire that is a little more vintage, throw on a pair of white lace gloves, a pastel headband and give your lips a pink pout to achieve a classical belle look. Go bold red in the lips if you want to be a bombshell. These below-the-knee bottoms will give your fall style more of a refined elegance. As stated in WTF? White Lace, tuck in your blouse or top and if you chose to, add a belt or crop jacket to accentuate the smallest part of your waist while hiding those problem areas.
