A Style Accessorized

Sparkly Headbands

Ring in the New Year with glitz, glimmer, shine and shimmer! Style it and then celebrate in it with the use of a sparkly headband. This festive accessory will surely go with any NYE outfit whether it's a black floor length gown, a red cocktail dress or a blue sequined sheath. Let your headband overlook the rest as you stylize your hairstyle with long wavy locks or a classic updo that is as bedazzling as the countdown disco ball in Times Square! Stay true to your aesthetic whether you feel more of a bohemian, Grecian or sophistication look. There isn't a need for over-the-top jewelry because this headpiece is more than able to sparkle all on its own.

A Chapter from the Cosmetic Chronicles

"Leaf It To Me"~ Green Manis

For Christmas when sporting their holiday colors, majority have opted for red but celebrities instead are pointing us in another direction of another festive and fun holiday color: green. Crimson hues for manicures have always been the go-to color but step-out and trend-set in a more emerald lacquer shade. But don't celebrate your love for this leafy nail polish just because it's the holidays, convert it into your normal do-it-yourself nail routine to spruce up your attire for any daytime event or nighttime soiree.

WTF? What's The Fashion? Sheer Bustier Dresses

Look nice in something naughty like a bustier dress with a sheer overlay. Both sophisticated and sexy, a sheer bustier dress is perfect for a special event or for a date night. Now because of the sheer fabric addition to this type of dress, it makes this ensemble a little more wearable with it's conservative style while still giving that bombshell element.
Gonna keep this post short and sweet because I do not want to keep you here on this site when you should be OFF of your computer and enjoying your holiday with your family and friends!

WTF? What's The Fashion? Peplum Tops

Fashion has taken a flashback from the 1940s. Fused with today is a fitted blouse with a ruffled, a-line waist known as the peplum top. This feminine, fanned out silhouette adds flare and flounce while hiding those unforgiving midsection areas. Similar to the peplum dress, the peplum top is more popular and more versatile since it is capable of being worn with a multitude of bottoms that are straight, narrow and or fitted (avoid wide-leg and flare pants). This ladylike look can be given more definition with a belt added to it and some retro charm can be accentuated with demure dark pieces in blacks and charcoals for a mod ensemble that fuses with Chanel.

The "F" Word! Faux Fur Stoles

Winterize your holiday party-wear with a colorful faux fur bolero. Rich jewel tones or pretty pastel shades are genuinely a gem to have during a wintertime soiree. But since it is highly encouraged to stray away from the traditional tones of blacks, whites and browns, the brighter and bolder shades may be a little difficult to pull off. The three celebrities below are prime examples of how to appropriately wear a colored bolero. Olivia goes for a sophisticated pink monochromatic look while Ashley Olsen plays it sure and safe by pairing her emerald stole with a LBD. Paris takes the trend even further with a color-blocked cocktail dress where one of the shades matches her cobalt colored stole. So go ahead and wrap one around your shoulders, cuddle it around your neck or drape it off to one side, either way there will not be any doubt that your style is truly in holiday mode in colorful faux fur stole.

WTF? What's The Fashion? Pleated Skirts

A pretty pleated skirt is the perfect way to look effortlessly chic because not only is it versatile but it can fit any style vibe you're feeling. A knee-length pleated skirts can transport your look back to its retro beginnings while a pleather pleated skirt is quite au courant. Preppy is completely doable with a tucked in sweater, dark colored tights and kitten heels. Got a hidden secret for ya ;) A ruffled blouse tucked into a pleated skirt gives more of an hourglass shape to your figure. Another F4T (Fashion For Thought), finally ditch the pumps and instead compliment your look with flats or booties!

WTF? What's The Fashion? Feather Plumage Skirts

After a decade of being seen as a fashion faux pas, fashion-forward celebrities and trend-setting fashionistas are letting their style take wing in a feather plumage skirt. This feathered come-back worn in moderation is very modern, designed by runway greats such as Matthew Williamson and worn on his very good Londoner friend, Sienna Miller. To keep this feathered frock from being banished and marked as tacky again is pairing them with the right shoes, accessories and hairstyles. Style your feathery frock with a solid colored closed-toe pump, light jewelry and a straight or pulled-back hairstyle that does not resemble frizz like curls or waves.

WTF? What's The Fashion? Ruby Red Shoes

A piping red shoe with delicate detailing or in sumptuous satin will ensure a memorable entrance at any holiday party. With its festive flair, a red shoe will definitely ring in the holiday spirit while amping up the sex appeal. Showcase its lustrous look with a backless dress with an embellished neckline at a rooftop party filled with your family and friends. Or show off your hot feminine side in a black sheer dress for a little skin to show through accented with a sequined clutch and pearl accessories. Even with the most simplest of outfits, a red shoe can take its style to farther distances. Add a matte red pout and you're an instant fashion fave!
